Systems Engineer
Location: Work from Home due to COVID-19 pandemic. Employee must be onsite at client location(Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17103) after COVID-19 is resolved.
Duration: 3 Years
Work Schedule: Full Time, 40 Hours/Week
Salary: $81,000.00/Annum + Company Standard Benefits
Job Duties:
- Design or develop software systems with architectural diagram of application and its possible outcomes.
- IBM Ration suite tools includes WebSphere and Domino.
- Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements.
- To ensure java and .net code deploy to the tools and initial checkout of application.
- Direct application maintenance and its documentation
- Maintain business standards with support and upgrade the application and prepare documentation for further upgrades.
- Modify existing software to correct errors and to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
- To develop automated scripts for solving repeated issues, archive logs.
- Consult with customers or other departments on project status, technical issues considering new application build and existing application maintenance.
- Initial build of application and to gather requirements which support application.
- Analyze information to determine, recommend and plan installation of new system environment.
- Gather information for application pre-requisites and test the application in lower environments and proceed with production with appropriate parties’ approvals.
- Monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
- Work with stake-holders inquires and request requirements to enhance application.
- Advice customer about and perform maintenance of software system.
- Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities or status.
- Train users to use new or modified equipment and help with issues within application.
- Work with customers to provide access to application and conduct training sessions.
Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
