Layer 7 Developer Administrator
Location: Work from Home due to COVID-19 pandemic. Employee must be onsite at client location(San Ramon, California 94583) after COVID-19 is resolved.
Duration: 3 Years
Work Schedule: Full Time, 40 Hours/Week
Salary: $120,931.00/Annum + Company Standard Benefits
Job Duties:
- Develop web API calls built on SOAP or REST and coded with XML, It acts as a firewall between frontend application and backend web services
- Manage platform and support existing CA API Gateway (Formerly known as Layer 7) Policy Manager and API security implementation.
- Configure and manage secured environments using SSL and digital certificates and upgrades of Layer 7 XML gateway to process the secure and protected traffic between applications.
- Troubleshoot several Layer 7 application API’s for company wide application services.
- Monitor splunk alerts for memory using automated log rotation scripts depending on the business requirement to monitor the error rate of the application and take necessary ahead of time.
- Impose Client Cert authentication on Layer 7 API’s to restrict service level access and allow only secured traffic inbound to client systems.
- Using SOAP UI to test web services using WSDL and Rest API’s as part of internal testing process.
- Create Dashboard and Alerts in Splunk depending on the business requirement to monitor the error rate of the application and take necessary ahead of time.
- Applied OS and Application Patches to all of our Layer 7 servers as per vendor recommendation and to fix the existing bugs and enhancing the service.
- Perform Disaster Recovery maintenance for the applications to protect an organization from the effect of significant negative events.
- Monitor the API health check using AppDynamics Tool
- Create new and renewing the Layer 7 server certificates whenever required to keep the services protected and secured.
- 24X7 hours ON call support to debug Production issues.
Minimum Education Requirement: This position requires minimum of Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subject.
