Job Duties:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the lifecycle of the ServiceNow platform, including design, development, planning, implementation, configuration, and ongoing support.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Responsible for the development of workflows and applications within the ServiceNow platform, which support the streamlining and automation of business processes
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining integrations between the ServiceNow platform and external systems.
  • Responsible for monitoring and managing platform upgrades, development, QA, and production environments.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining documentation related to the ServiceNow platform.
  • Responsible for producing reports and dashboards based on defined measures, metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Responsible for recommending improvements regarding the platform, processes, or reporting
  • Responsible for user management and support related to the ServiceNow platform.
  • Manages and maintains relationships with key departments throughout the University to understand business needs, implement solutions and support customers.
  • Vendor management and communication for escalation of critical issues and support of new system implementation and determination of root cause analysis.
  • Collaborates closely with project managers to provide updates on project progress and communicate issues that may impact project success.
  • Recommends and contributes to development of best practices and standard operating procedures and provides technical expertise for Application Support team.
  • Able to appropriately assess and communicate risks, benefits, and alternatives.

  • Manage and maintain relationships with key departments throughout the University to understand business needs, implement solutions and support customers.
  • ServiceNow implementation experience in ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge and Service catalogs)
  • ITOM developer experience in some or all ITOM application areas (Discovery, Service Mapping, SAM, Event Management, Orchestration)
  • General support, administration, development, and maintenance of ServiceNow platform across various modules like ITSM, ITOM etc.
  • Develop and maintain integrations by using LDAP, REST, SOAP, APIs, SQL DB, Oracle DB between the ServiceNow platform and external systems.
  • Break down the infrastructure silos and leverage the combined power of IT Operations and IT Service Management.
  • Follow Agile development processes methodology in ServiceNow applications development.
  • Develop applications using ServiceNow scripting and workflow.
  • Perform CMDB/Asset implementations and transition enterprise-wide CIs/Assets from legacy solutions to Service Now.
  • Perform unit testing, analyze test results and validate application data to meet functional specifications and maintain test plans and production support procedures for software and systems already in place. Prepare design documents, user manuals, transition documents and release notes as required by the projects.
  • Responsible for monitoring and managing platform upgrades, development, QA, and production environments.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to the ServiceNow platform.
  • Customize the core system using business rules, catalog policies, catalog client script, UI actions, Validation procedures using Javascript, jQuery, Angular/Jelly and Glide Scripting.
  • Provide advanced support for ServiceNow Platform by troubleshooting a variety of difficult software problems, implementing bug fixes, and performing root cause analysis. Lead and coordinate with customer technical and functional support.

Minimum Education Requirement: This position requires minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
